Granite State Credit Union is a proud member of the Shared Branching community. Shared Branching is a network of 3,500 credit unions, with more than 5,600 branches and 30,000 ATM’s nationwide. It allows members, of participating credit unions, to do business with their credit union through these locations.
We pulled together some of the most important things to know about Shared Branching.
What types of transactions are available through Shared Branching?
- Deposits
- Fund withdrawals
- Transfer funds between accounts
- Balance inquiries
- Process loan payments and advances
- Purchase traveler’s checks, official checks and money orders at select locations
What you need to bring with you to conduct a Shared Branching transaction:
- Valid Federal or State ID (i.e. a valid license or passport) – Required for photo and signature identification to protect your identity and your account information
- Your member number – If you don’t already know your member number, you can visit your personal credit union or call and have it mailed to you (Shared Branching locations have no way of looking up your member number in their system)
Some common fees associate with Shared Branching transactions:
- Check Withdrawal - $5
- Photo Copies - $0.50
- Check Deposits – 16 or more - $0.20 per check
- Rolled Coin - $0.25 per roll or percentage of the total at a coin counting machine
Note: Services and fees may vary by location. For security reasons, there are limitations to the amount of cash that members may withdraw daily. Funds deposited to your account may not be immediately available based on your credit union’s hold policies (please contact your personal credit union for more information).
